Business Solves: a week on Times Radio exploring how business can help solve the UK's biggest challenges

We were delighted to partner with Times Radio for Business Solves, a week-long series exploring how businesses can help tackle the UK's biggest challenges, and build a stronger business by doing it. Across five live conversations, our CEO Ed Boyd and broadcaster Lord Ed Vaizey spoke to senior business leaders about what they're already doing, and how much further it could go.

The series covered everything from the jobs crisis to loneliness, taking in waste, purpose-driven growth and early childhood along the way. It features James Jesic, CEO of Severn Trent, on opening routes into good work; Tessa Clarke, CEO of Olio, on turning waste into value; Fiona Howarth, Founder of Octopus Electric Vehicles, on building a business that does good; Lord Richard Walker, Executive Chairman of Iceland Foods, on giving every child a better start; and Sonia Thimmiah of Heineken UK on tackling loneliness.
